Peter Burnhill: Biography

Peter Burnhill is Director of EDINA and Head of the Edinburgh University Data Library.
Peter is also project director of UK RepositoryNet+ which is based
at EDINA where Peter has been director since it was established in
1995/6. He first became involved in the realities of repositories in
2001 during the design phase of Jorum which was developed by EDINA and
Mimas as the UK repository of learning materials, Peter led the
Digital Curation Centre (DCC) as its first director in 2004/5, and
became involved in repositories again in 2006 during the scoping and
build of what became the Depot and the OA Repository Broker – now
opendepot.org and RJ Broker. He continues as a member of the SONEX
Group whose interoperability work has informed COAR.
