Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 7th International Conference on Open Repositories taking place from Monday 9 July to Friday 13 July 2012 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The conference brings together an international community of stakeholders engaged in the development, management, and application of digital repositories. It represents a significant opportunity for any company or organisation involved with open repositories, providing world-wide visibility and access to a large community of potential collaborators, partners and customers.

The conference will attract attendees from all over the world. The Steering Committee anticipates approximately 450 delegates for OR2012. Participants will include directors of digital initiatives, technical staff responsible for repository software, and applied researchers in digital libraries and similar fields.

Sponsorship Opportunities

OR2012 provides a valuable opportunity for organisations to showcase their products and services, to communicate their brand and to gain exposure with a wide spectrum of stakeholders, leaders and decision makers in the open repository community.

Sponsorship represents an opportunity for your company or organisation to demonstrate active involvement in the global effort to build and sustain interoperable open repositories that provide broad access to scholarly information and resources and to position your organisation as an open repository innovator. You will be able to reach an international audience and to align your goals with others involved in an important technology.

OR conference materials – repository challenge (TBA)

Open Repositories is the pre-eminent conference for repository managers, researchers and developers. As part of OR2012 we would like to establish a permanent repository for presentations and outputs of both OR2012 and past OR conferences.

We are thus seeking interest in creating and maintaining such a repository. This would include importing and integrating material (full text and metadata) from existing repositories and compliance with open standards. This would also include a sustainability plan and a commitment that should such support end repository content can be extracted in a transferable form to ensure continuity. This is an exciting opportunity for repository platform vendors to showcase their functionality and to be part of an ongoing and active community. To express an interest please contact the local committee via the details below.
